the process of a promise.

When he was 17, Joseph received a prophetic promise. He didnt know the process would cause him unbelievable pain before he would see promises fulfilled. He had no idea where life would take him, the things he would be robbed of, the hurtful betrayal he would experience, and the crazy people he would meet along the way. It would take 13 years to even begin to see a glimpse of the beginning of that which God had him dream about as a young boy.

During those years, God was shaping his integrity and character, allowing circumstances to happen for Joseph to learn humility. He was breaking off self sufficiency in him so one day, he would be able to handle the weight of the promise and walk into the fulfillment of that which God had spoken over him - to become a Governor and 2nd most powerful man in Egypt. He had everything restored and received back more than he initially lost and even got to experience reconciliation from those who hurt him.

Joseph named his children Manasseh and Ephraim. Together their names mean "God has made me forget all my trouble.....and God has made me fruitful in the land of my suffering". This is what happens when we choose to allow God to walk us through the refining process. He even told his brothers that though they initially had intentions to harm him, God intended everything that happened for good to accomplish saving many lives (in his case, that meant his family, his relatives, his brothers, and thousands and thousands of other people).

The process it takes from receiving a promise to the possession of the promise is often painful. If we choose to travel down that road, it will break us, experiences will come that will bring pain and  shape our character, and it will often, give us enough chances to choose between shortcuts or choosing to have integrity. But if we choose to stick to the process of refining and trusting God through it all, God's promises bring in so much more fruit than anything we could ever manufacture for ourselves. And if we allow God to work in us, He can use the stories of our hardship to bring us into a season where it will help bring life and save not just you, but those you love the most, and others around you.

in dying to one dream...He gave life to another.

I've stopped blogging and writing online. though my personal journal is full of words...my blog has been extremely quiet. In dying to my blog, I got to experience life to the fullest. I do miss writing and I know a season will come where I will probably write again but for now, that dream remains buried. I know some of you receive our newsletters and updates, and that will probably be the only "public writing" i do for this season...

But in dying to my dream of writing....God has chosen to bring to life another dream...and that is the dream of me speaking. Here is a glimpse of the doors God has chosen to open in the past 4 months....but before that.....

one cannot truly encounter CHRIST and not be radically changed by His love. no matter what our background or story is, CHRIST followers know one thing to be true...that we were all once blind but now we can see.

Because of what He has done on the cross for me, I've always wanted to live a kind of life that show others that God really exists and that His love for us is somethin' fierce.

i also want to be able to show my kids and those who are close to me how crazy awesome it is to follow Christ passionately, no matter how hard it gets, because the rewards for following Him are soooo much greater than the sacrifices we will make.

one of the greatest rewards is to be able to share the story of what He has done in my life for His glory.  my life was a wreck without him...and only God could've performed such a life changing miracle to bring the kind of transformation, healing and freedom that I experience now.

in the words of biggie smalls..... "It was all a dream....."

But then God happened and because He happened...He opened doors for one of my biggest (and scariest) dreams to become a reality.

2 years ago, i had the honor to share the power of receiving forgiveness and walking out forgiveness at grace bible honolulu's palm sunday service.

I got to share the story at Grace bible pearlside's youth campus rally last september 2014.

then I had the opportunity to share it again for grace bible pearlside's evening services and regal campus this past christmas service. and seeing the response of over 30+ people come to know CHRIST in just one of those services was mind-blowing. (watch it over at: http://pearlside.org/sermons/extreme-home-makeover-kalae-george/ or http://pearlside.org/sermons/extreme-make-over-billy-lile/)

today, i got to be a part of a video shoot which will be shared at inspire church's arise women's conference happening this February 2015 where over 1,000 women from all walks of life will hear the power of God to bring freedom and victory.

i also get the privilege to share at grace bible pearlside kaneohe campus on january 18th and my husband and i will be sharing what God has done in our BOTH our lives at grace bible regal campus on the 25th. I soooo love that I get to do this with my husband! [if you find yourself in Oahu....please come and check our church out]

we've never seen the door open for this much opportunity to speak and share our story for His glory. all those years of heart break and tears. the years of waiting and serving, being pressed and being pruned and walking through fire. in being hidden and wrestling with our insecurities, failures, and pride and learning to die to ourselves....now we can truly say it was SO WORTH IT. Just to be able to be transformed into His image and to be able to share our testimony for the saving of many lives (Genesis 50:20) is such an amazing thing to experience that WORDS CANNOT EXPRESS.

the fun thing about this...is that we know this is just the beginning....and there's so much more in store.

we are seeing a portion of our dream come to pass and we are amazed and in awe. We serve a God who makes the impossible possible. it's such an honor that God would choose to continue to use our family to tell others about His Kingdom. Here is to fulfilling our mandate to proclaim His praises in the islands [isaiah 42:12] and make disciples for Christ every where we go.... [from the Philippines, to LA to Hawaii and God knows where to next].

He is able to do exceedingly, abundantly more that what we could ever ask or imagine......Jesus is truly amazing and His resurrection power is nothing short of AH-MAY-ZING!

(a special thanks to Cindy Dino, the 1st person who ever took the time to thoroughly teach me what it means to be in relationship with Christ...your bravery to disciple someone like me is being shared everywhere I share my testimony!)

but God....

abused repetitively as a child. rebellious and confused as a teen. left pregnant to raise a child, rejected and alone at 20. suicide attempts and cutting just to feel. i had no future. doctors said i was gonna die - twice. i was completely broken. numb. hateful. angry. lost.

but God, in His goodness and mercy, grabbed a hold of my heart and His love has changed me for life. His scandalous grace has transformed me into someone i never thought i would be and He continues to mold me into the woman He has designed me to be. He has given me abundant life and the life i live now is beyond what i ever dreamed or imagined.

my heart has experienced different seasons, some extremely painful, others full of joy.

yet through all seasons, God has been so very faithful. He has healed me. He has set me free. He has given me a purpose and a destiny, not just for my own life, but for the lives of my children, my husband, my relatives, my friends and the people in my life that surround me.

Genesis 50:20 says "you intended to harm me, but GOD intended it for good, to accomplish what is now being done, the saving of many lives."

that's one of my favoritest scriptures everrrrr.

coz that's how God works.

He takes the ugly, the broken, the pain of your past. or even the messy of your now.

He heals. restores. redeems. forgives. transforms.

then gives His love. freedom. grace. peace. joy. provision. mercy.

in abundance

and He does that because He wants to use your life, the good and the bad, the great and the ugly. He wants to lavish His love upon you so you can share Christ's love to others so they can be set free as well.

don't let your past define you. don't let your pain imprison you.

choose Christ. choose life. choose to be free so God can use your life and your story for the good, to accomplish the saving of many lives.
